Beautiful Diorama of two watchfully Diictodon, mammal-like synapsids.
This scene reminds of Meerkats watching the surrounding of their burrow.
Both Diictodon models have received realistic glass eyes.
This detailed model was custom-built on behalf of a collector.
Only this single exemplar exists, it can't be reproduced because moulds were never made.
The Diorama was hand-painted with Paintbrush and Airbrush.

The set-up is quite simple.
Diictodon was a mammal-like synapsid that lived during the late Permian period, about 258 - 251 Million years ago.
Fossils of the herbivorous Diictodon were found in South-Africa and China.
